Lovely photos; I feel like I was right there with you -- just great.

I enjoyed your review, too. Your comment re not touching the polar bears had me laughing out loud. Do you have photos of the penguins/polar bears?

When I went through immigration in San Pedro two years ago, I was asked the same thing -- in fact, I was quizzed extensively by the little titmouse not only about why I cruised alone (he asked this more than once) but also about how I paid for the cruise, etc. I was all ready to tell him to take a long walk off a short pier, except for, you know, not wanting to go to jail.

Okay, here are my Sea World photographs ...

Oh what awesome/grand pictures and review you did of the Sapphire. You must have a "great" camera.:)

It has been a couple years since I was on the Sapphire, but the pictures brought back GOOD memories.:)

All the Sea World photographs, all the Santa Barbara port photographs and all the Ensenada tour photographs were takes with a Canon A590IS. All the San Francisco photographs (not posted yet), the San Diego port photographs and almost all the ship photographs were taken with a Nikon D5100 using an 18-105 zoom lens. I used both cameras in the port of Ensenada.

My sister and I will board the Sapphire in June and your photos were great! Do you know why the police were leading someone away in cuffs?

Although I am not the OP, I can provide you with some answers. Those are not Police officers, but rather Federal officers. Most probably the arrest was due to an active warrant somewhere in the US.

I loved those photos! That first one of the otter floating on his back with his little flippers folded on his tummy -- so cute! Your pictures are just great; can't wait to see more.

You soooo crack me up!! :) (Apologies to the OP for this minor OT)

We were to sail with you on the Star recently (and we had to cancel) so I missed meeting you... darn! :p

Actually, I ended up having to cancel, too. Double darn! Hence my interest in seeing penguin photos, since I got cheated out of seeing real ones.
