Deck 14 on Oasis?

Recommended Posts

We just booked Thanksgiving week on the Oasis. The only 3 person cabin was on deck 14. Anyone stayed on the deck? Pros/Cons? We usually stay on deck 8 or 9 when we cruise. This will be a first! Thanks!

PROS:

  • Deck 14 is where the Adventure Ocean center is located for younger kids.
  • Deck 14 is only 1 deck below the Pool and Sports Zone Neighborhood.
  • Deck 14 is only 1 deck below the Adults Only Solarium.
  • Deck 14 is only 2 decks below the Windjammer Marketplace Buffet.

CONS:

  • Deck 14 is 8 decks above the Royal Promenade (Deck 5).
  • Deck 14 is 5 decks above the Central Park Neighborhood (Deck 8).
  • Deck 14 is 7 decks above the Boardwalk Neighborhood (Deck 6).
  • Deck 14 is 9 decks above the Entertainment Place Neighborhood (Opal Theater, Blaze Nightclub, Studio B, Comedy Central - Deck 4).

Other than location, not really a bad deck to be on! Enjoy your cruise onboard Oasis of the Seas!

We were on deck 14 - oceanview. What was key to us was that we were near the forward elevator bank (and stairs) so whether anything was 8 floors from us or just two, it made no difference to us. Loved the location.

You're going to have pros and cons wherever you choose to stay on Oasis. With the ship being so big you're going to be near some things and far from other things (e.g. deck 14 you're near the Windjammer, pool stuff, and other top deck activities). You're far from all of the interier ship stuff (central park, boardwalk, promenade, entertainment, MDR, etc.)

With that in mind, you generally want to decide what you want to be close to. Otherwise, if Deck 14 is the only deck left with a cabin that fits your needs, the decision is made for you. :) Have a wonderful trip.

We were on Deck 14 in March, there is no doubt you will hear noise in the middle of the night as the crew cleans the pool deck. Usually some time between 3:00 and 4:30 in the morning we wer awaken by the crew dragging and stacking chairs above our cabin. Other than that, noise fom the pool deck was not a problem. Did it ruin the cruise, no. Would I book it again, not by choice. If it was the only 3 person cabin left, I would take it but I would be checking the website on a refgular basis looking to switch rooms.

Enjoy your cruise

We were on the Oasis recently and stayed in 14186 - Ocean Balcony. Great spot, good views & close to forward elevators. We are going on the Allure this year and staying on the 14th floor again.

We spent quite a while looking at deck plans and reading threads here on CC, and in the end decided on Deck 12. Many of our concerns were the same as yours, but the one thing I wanted was to be between two passenger floors not under the pool deck or above a dance club. We also chose just a bit off of midship and not to far from the elevators.

I like to keep one deck of isolation between me and the pool deck, so we have been and will be on deck 12. Where on deck 14? If you are forward there is a lot of noise from the solarium dance party one night and a lot of traffic from the Kids club which is up front deck 14.
