OFF. CC 3rd ANNUAL SUPERBOWL/VALENTINE B2B 2/2 & 2/8 2014 ON THE FREEDOM REDUCED DEP.

Recommended Posts

So I guess this explains why you couldn't get our FCC on your cruise Amy...they want you to book with them, not a travel agent !!! Oh well was good while it lasted, especially for the Hawaii cruise !!

John Heald

So yesterday I leant that we had stopped the FCC program and I apologise to all that have posted about my vague response as it was close to midnight my time when I learnt of this. So here is the official statement from Carnival.

Carnival Cruise Lines has discontinued the Future Carnival Vacations certificate program, effective for all sailings departing on or after Sept. 27. All outstanding certificates will still be honored up to the expiration date printed on the face of the certificate.

Although the certificate program will be discontinued, guests will still be able to make a confirmed reservation while onboard through the Future Carnival Vacations desk on all ships, except for Carnival Imagination, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Sensation, Carnival Spirit and Carnival Victory. Guests select their preferred ship and sailing date and receive an onboard credit of up to $200 per stateroom on their next cruise. The shipboard credit can be used in conjunction with any promotion, excluding interline, friends and family rates and employee reduced-rate travel.

Following is a listing of the various on-board credits available on bookings made through the Future Vacation Desk:

Three- to five-day cruises: $50 on-board credit per stateroom

Six-day cruises: $75 on-board credit per stateroom

Seven- to 10-day cruises: $100 on-board credit per stateroom

12 days or longer cruise: $200 on-board credit per stateroom

Travel agency commission will be protected on bookings made through the Future Carnival Vacations desk.

I know many of you have already posted comments and questions in the body of my page but I would kindly ask that you do so again right here so that we have them all in one place for the beards to read……….which they will of course. The on board credit is still available as you can see so please do let the beards know what comments and questions you have.

cheers

Suzi It does say travel agency commission protected, so I have to inquire while on board the Ecstacy in November as to what that exactly means. Im hoping it means people could still book on board and when making the booking on board still get the OBC's as previously awarded by Certificates and Im guessing mention that they were going to use a travel agent and list that name. Not quite sure. Thank goodness Alaska is going to be totally different because my group person will still be able to offer obc without the certificates.

Someone on my Breeze roll call posted info about this promotion (and I see there's a thread on the Carnival forum about it). I just applied and it also seems to work for Canada, so hopefully I got my $50 OBC.

If anyone here has a cruise between December 1, 2012 and March 15, 2013 and has a Mastercard, you might want to check this out. You have to apply before October 31st. Here's what my friend posted:

Here is the link to the promo, give it a try, certainly can't hurt. Offer is capacity controlled and must be submitted by Oct 31, 2012 so hurry if you qualify.

http://ebm.cheetahmail.com/r/regf2?a...=1061&FBOOKNUM

Now you can have even more fun aboard your upcoming Carnival® cruise. Just use your MasterCard® card for your onboard purchases and we'll give you a $50 credit to spend however you want - relax at the spa, celebrate at the bar or add some fun to a shore excursion. It's up to you!

Simply complete these three steps by October 31st*:

Step 1. Sign-up today for this special offer by filling out the information below.

Step 2. Complete your online check-in at My Cruise Manager and enter your MasterCard® card information to setup your Sail & Sign® account that you will use for onboard purchases.

Step 3. Get ready to set sail for FUN!

Your onboard credit will show up on your Sail & Sign® account the first day of your cruise.

Applicable to sailings between 12/1/2012 and 3/15/2013. See Terms & Conditions below for additional details.

Sandy Im cool with whatever you want to use. for numbers. They are all fun. They all mean woot woot one week closer !!!:D

That mastercard/ obc thing that is going around Im not so sure about, because when you hover over the link, it doesnt look like a secure link. Unless I get an email from Carnival and it indicates when hovering its from carnival Im not gonna click on the one going around. I would think if anyone would get them it would be those of us with the Carnival Mastercard.

Well today its cold and damp and rainy here so I guess it will be filled with getting all my ironing done for next week, trying to steam my DD's dress for a wedding she is in on Friday.

Then tonight we have one good football game to watch hey Robin ?

Actually, I did get a "Thank You" page and it was from Carnival. I don't have the Carnival MC and I'm in Canada, so I was surprised that it worked for me. It said to print the page, but my printer isn't working right now, so I took a screenshot and will print it out later. If I get the OBC, fine, if not, fine too.

EDIT: The link that you go to doesn't want your credit card #, just your booking number, cabin, etc. And that info I don't mind giving because someone can't change anything without my PIN, which they wouldn't have. You have to actually log in to your account through the Carnival website and when you're doing your online check-in, that's where you put your MC number.

I did send in the price reduction form because the price of my cruise dropped $100, so if I don't get the OBC, at least I'll pay less for the cruise.

Oh, and I am THIS CLOSE to booking the September 2013 sailing of the Miracle from Vancouver to LA via Hawaii. It's 15 days and since I didn't get to do the Hawaii cruise earlier this year, Hawaii is still on my bucket list. And it means only air fare home from LA. Oh, man, I want to do that one!

Sandy, I say book the cruise to Hawaii. It will be well worth it! Our cruise there in April was our third time to Hawaii and it gets more beautiful everytime we go there! Hope you are doing well.

Robin you are in an 8B we are in an 8A. Im not sure if you are allowed to go down a category or not you are always allowed to change comparable or increase the category. Maybe you are better off where you are though since you are DEFINITELY mid ship which is something I remember you wanting after the rocking and rolling ride of Hawaii.

Hi Amy and all--FYI Rita and Jay and Ernie and I are 7356 and 7358 we like mid ship---and remember as of this time we are only dong the 8 day on this cruise so we will have to catch up with the rest of u who are on the back to back--but we are only 1 floor above so we should be able to easily join you on your large balcony's!!!!for party time.

Well, it's been a really good day today. I wasn't going to go to the casino as I've been out a couple of times lately and I am taking my Dad there tomorrow, but decided on the spur of the moment to go. Came home with $800 in cash and a ticket for $150 that I can use tomorrow!! :D

Since I needed $800 for the deposit on the Hawaii cruise, I'm taking it as a sign that I'm supposed to go (well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! :D). I have a call in to my PVP right now. I'll have to cancel the second week on the Breeze and fly home instead of taking the train, but I'm okay with that if it means I finally get to go to Hawaii.

Sandy thats great !! How are you making out with you knee? I hope that you have better weather then we did for the Hawaii run. Be aware even the crew says that the pacific crossing to and from hawaii is usually rougher than what most are used to, not normally as bad as we had it, but I just want you to know so hopefully you knee is strong enough.:D I felt great soreness in my inner thighs for a couple of days after getting home and I realized it was from balancing.

My knee is doing okay. It still feels like it's wrapped in a tight bandage, which makes me walk stiff-legged (which I have to remember not to do). But I will be fine for the cruise. On the 3 day repo from San Diego to Vancouver it was very rocky and I managed to handle it okay, but of course that was before the surgery.

I'm just happy that I'll finally get to cruise to Hawaii.

I've never been to either Tortola or Antigua either. Funny thing is, my cruise on the Breeze next March does the exact same itinerary as the Freedom (just leaves from Miami instead of Ft. Lauderdale). So, if people have questions, I can scout things out and bring back lots of info. Won't charge much at all for the "expert" knowledge! :p:D

I haven't been here in ages! I still have to finish our deposit..I read some of you talking about the Mastercard offer..I did this a year ago when they offered it, and it was 100% legit! I got $50 OBC when we registered at the ship with my MC! I wish it was valid til March 16th tho, as that is the date we board the Miracle for Panama! Figures! One lousy day!

I look forward to hanging out some on that HUGE BALCONY too!!!

We are recently back from the Splendor to Mexican Riviera! It was a great cruise and we spent 3 days in Long Beach prior to embarkation! It was great!

Are most of you changing over to ES for this B2B? We got in under the wire with the FCC, and bought 2 more. I think I will use one of them for the 8 day on this cruise.

We did book another cruise while onboard the Splendor (Liberty, September 2013) and we immediately got $100 OBC for that one. We also were given 2 Friends and Family Certificates. I hope I can convince someone to join us! Always nice to sail with some friends! :)
