Future Cruise Certificate for someone else?

Can you purchase a future cruise certificate in someone else's name? I know they are non-transferrable and wondered if they would let you purchase one for someone else. My Mom wants one for a 2013 cruise and she will not be cruising between now and then. I thought maybe I could get her one in her name.

Unfortunately no you can't~ only thing you could do is book a cruise while onboard and you'd get 2 friends and family certs, for the same OBC, for the same cruise you booked.

We asked the same thing while on our recent cruise. Unfortunately, you cannot purchase an F.C.C. for someone else.:( The next best thing you can do (which is what we're planning to do) is purchase Funship dollars to give to someone. They make great gifts for someone going on a cruise!:)
