Vancouver - Best way to get to Granville Island

We are arriving a day before our cruise and staying at the Hampton Inn Downtown. The last time we were in Vancouver we had a rental car. Our favorite place was the markets at Granville Island. Can someone tell me the best way to get there from our hotel?

Easy: Walk (It's not all that far) or TAxi to the closest (other side of BC PLace on the water front and take Aqua Bus (small ferry to Granville Island.

While Leftcoast's idea is certainly the nicest and by far the most picturesque, I'll advance the idea of a bus as an alternative. While there are transfer options I would likely walk over to Granville and take a #50 bus from Robson and Granville St. and reverse the procedure coming back....$2.50 each pp CDN funds only.

As a couple who only get to visit Vancouver once a year at best, we vote for this option. In particular, with sunny weather.
