GoBearsGo95 Posted May 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2012 We will make two stops in the area in July. Nice and Marseille. We want to do a day of wine. Is this area good for that and if so can you tell me who to use? Thanks
Rare Hlitner Posted May 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2012 Is a good question and we would suggest that Marseille would be the better of 2 ports for a wine tour. It takes about 1:15 to drive from Marseille to the heart of the Rhone Valley wine area (places such as Chateauneuf du Pape and Gigondas) which is a fabulous area for touring vineyards and tasting wine. Victress2007 Posted May 24, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2012 Search Provence Wine Tours. It leaves out of Marseilles. We're going the first week of June, so I'll let you know how it was when we get back. I emailed them and they added us to a tour scheduled by other people on our ship. I was really pleased by that, I'd been trying to find someone on our roll call but didn't have any takers. I'd love to join a tour in Italy too but no luck so far.
