usaspire Posted May 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2012 Hi All. I am booked for a Helicopter glacier tour in Juneau from 12:45pm to about 2:45pm. But, I also wanted to do the zipline thing which says that we will be picked up at 3pm. Do you think 15minutes is enough? Has anyone experienced something like this before? What tips/advice do you have? I was planning on talking to our Helicopter guide to see if he can stay on or ahead of schedule.

Otherwise, you have no input into their schedule. The key here is the locations? If they are both ship tours, then automatically- they allow a certain schedule. But, if on your own, then no, I wouldn't suggest it.
usaspire Posted May 18, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted May 18, 2012 I booked both of these directly though the vendors....not through the cruise line. They are both picking and dropping us off at/by the dock
usaspire Posted May 19, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted May 19, 2012 Is it pretty easy to find the different vendors at the port?

They are both picking and dropping us off at/by the dock Then you are going to risk not being on time with only 15 minutes in between.
Budget Queen Posted May 19, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 19, 2012 Is it pretty easy to find the different vendors at the port? There are booths set up on the docks. But- this would be if you are interested in "bulk" type tours, city bus tours, etc. If you are looking at boat tours and flights you usually are way better off booking in advance. You also must be willing to use up valuable port time, if you wait to figure out what you want to do. If you want to book in advance, you need to determine the tour first, then find a vendor.
