Back Country Jet Boat Adventure,Ketchikan?

Anyone done this, think it is worthwhile?

 

I need something to occupy a 9 year old boy. The kayaking sounds fun, but 3 hours may be too much for him. .

We did a jet boat ride on a glacier river in Talkeetna and it was very good. We saw Eagles, beaver, bear, moose etc. It even stopped for a while in the wilderness and we walked to a hunters cabin and saw the different kinds of pelts. The jet boat would be exciting for a child.

I would love to do the flight, but it is just more than I can afford.

I did this excursion in 2002. I would not do it again nor reccommend it to anyone. Basically you go in a cover jet boat that holds about 40 people and travel in some protected bays and see homes that don't have power. We saw a deer and a seal on out trip. Scenery is ok but it looks like everything around ketchikan.
