JMKO Posted May 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2005 I'm thinking about taking the kids on a cruise but after our recent disembarking issue we don't want to due a full 7 days. Does anyone know if the shorter cruises have connecting rooms or family suites for 2 adults and 4 children?
2Cruise4Ever Posted May 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2005 Absolutely!!! The ships are built not for short or long itineraries, but for both. More than likely you will be able to find adjoining cabins on just about every modern ship. Good luck!
Cortesefam Posted May 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2005 We took a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera on Legend of the Seas last August with our two kids. We were able to get one of the "Family Suites", which accommodated two adults in the primary bedroom, with a second smaller bedroom with two twin beds and two pull-down bunks, as well as a sleep sofa in the living area. The kids were each charged the 3/4 child passenger rate. The suite had two full baths, which made getting ready for dinner much less stressful for all, as well as a large balcony and living area. This summer, we are taking a 12 day Mediterranean cruise on Brilliance of the Seas, and decided to try two adjoining cabins, with an interior door. This was less expensive than the Family Suite, and given the length of the cruise, we felt two separate (but accessible!) spaces would be best. If your kids are very young, you may find the suite a better choice, to have everyone closer together--there's also more interior room to play than in two standard cabins. cruizinrican Posted May 12, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2005 Try the new Freedom of the Seas, they have new family rooms. The ship will come out next April so take a look!
MamaMicki Posted May 13, 2005 #5 Share Posted May 13, 2005 Check all of the ships deck plans and I bet you can find some. It will be a little tougher with 6. You will need a Quad adjoining to a double. You can always call the company. They are usually great. Take Care
