Residence Inn or Radison Port Canaveral ?

We're thinking about staying a night at the Radison or Residence Inn in Port Canaveral. are these good hotels to leave your car? We were thinking that it would save some money....We would appreciate your thought on this:) thanks

I can't speak on the Residence but we stayed at the Radisson last Sept. and it was great! The room was super clean, and had a sleep number bed which was kinda hit/miss. I enjoyed it the DW not so much.

 

Using their shuttle service was very crowded but organized.

You have to sign up for your shuttle the night before and then the next morning check in with the "guy with the clipboard". They then will call groups as the buses show up. We did have to wait about 20 min. for our particular shuttle to arrive but we were early too so I don't know how long we "should" have waited. You do have to move your car from where your room is to a side lot that is directly beside the hotel so no worries there.

 

Return from the cruise was not bad either, we called as we exited the ship as we were told to do. By the time we made it through customs (which is a breeze) we exited the building and began looking for the bus. There he was, we had to wait about 5 or so minutes for the bus to fill up (Mini bus with trailer for luggage). Then back to the Radisson and to our car and on the road.

From leaving the ship to getting on the road in our car was maybe a total of 20 minutes.

We are staying at the Radisson for our June 14th cruise. This is the information they sent me about parking your car there and their rates. We are not leaving a car there but we are using their airport shuttle and shuttle to and from the port. Hope this helps

As of May 1st, 2011 we no longer provide complimentary parking or transportation to the Cruise Port. If you book one of the Cruise Package Rates it will include parking for one vehicle and transportation up to two guests; by booking one of the Cruise Package Rates it will also give you the privilege of calling ahead of time to reserve a shuttle time. The fee for additional guests or guests needing no parking and only transportation is $4.00 per person each way. The parking fees for all other rates are listed below.

~~~ 3 Night Cruise ~ $25.00 plus tax per vehicle

~~~ 4 or 5 Night Cruise ~ $30.00 plus tax per vehicle

~~~ 7 Night Cruise ~ $35.00 plus tax per vehicle

These three rates do include transportation to/from the Cruise Port up to four guests.

We now provide transportation to/from the Orlando Airport for our guests. The fees for this service are listed below and are quoted for one way.

~~~ $33.00 for one person

~~~ $50.00 for two people

~~~ $10.00 per person for each additional person (adult, child

or dog that weighs more than 30 lbs)

~~~ Add $25.00 for transportation from 9:00pm thru 7:00am

Your credit card is charged in advance for the Airport shuttle and if you will need a car seat or booster seat we would need to know how many. If you are interested in taking advantage of our Airport Shuttle service we will take your information at the time you contact us to set it up.
