karen s Posted May 24, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2012 Does anyone know how to get in touch with the ship if an emergency happens at home. Your friends and family can contact the ship by calling (888) 724-SHIP. Or from outside the U.S. they can call (732) 335-3285. The cost is $7.95 USD a minute and can be charged to their American Express®, MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover® or Diners Club®. From outside the U.S. additional long distance charges will also apply. You can make ship-to-shore calls from your stateroom, 24 hours a day. The cost is $7.95 USD per minute and will be automatically charged to your SeaPass account. Julesben Posted May 24, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2012 Does anyone know how to get in touch with the ship if an emergency happens at home. My first thought would be to call the "local" main office of RCCL, the staterooms have phones, however I'm not sure if they can take incoming calls from outside the ship. Ocean Boy Posted May 24, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2012 You do have the option of leaving your cell phone on but you risk getting calls, and charges, that are not emergent and that you would prefer not to take. Making calls on your cell phone from the ship will cost you less than half of what ship to shore calls cost.

mo&fran Posted May 25, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 25, 2012 You can call the stateroom from shore through the posted number. If noone answers you go to an answer machine, and you can leave a message. We did have an issue on a recent cruise and someone called RC to get a message to us to call home. WE never got the message from RC, but i suspect that since it was close to the end of the cruise, RC didn't bothher to tell us. Problem was, we were on a B2B. We found out what had happened because we had friends joining us on that cruise and they gave us the message.
