We're staying in Soldotna for the week before the cruise and wondering if anyone has gone on a floatplane bear viewing/fishing trip?

Any suggestions?

There is 6 people in our party.

You might try calling Kenai Cache at 907-595-1401, maybe they can refer such a trip. Or, call Gwin's Lodge at 907-595-1266, they're next to Kenai Cache, side by side. You can also look up their web sites. I am sure they can help you.

You could also check with Steve or Monica at the Soldotna Lodge BnB at

http://www.soldotnalodge.com/index.htm We took a Katmai NP 1 day bear viewing trip with them in August and they were checking out the trip so they could recommend to customers. Don't know if they were arranging transportation from Soldotna or not. Its about 70 miles. There may be bear trips nearer to Soldotna but they could answer that question. Nice people from Folsom!!!!
