fossilcreekranch Posted May 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2012 I'm going on Allure in July. First time on RC and really looking forward to it! Could someone tell me what time is the latest to disembark? Our flight leaves at 3:30 pm and hanging out in the airport holds little appeal! How about ideas for things to do in Ft Lauderdale that wouldnt take me too far from the airport? Open for suggestions....
akcruz Posted May 28, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2012 They want you off the ship ASAP on the last day. I would expect to be off before 10 am. Look into some of the excursions the cruise ship offers which end at the airport for an option other than sitting at the airport.

firstplacechef Posted May 28, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 28, 2012 There are also ship excursions on the last day that may fit your schedule and drop you off at the airport. We loved our Everglades tour when we faced the same situation.
fossilcreekranch Posted May 28, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted May 28, 2012 Chef, I looked at the airboat ride in the Everglades, but it is 4 hours with only a 1/2 hr on the boat. Is this what you experienced? Is it a long drive to the airboat?
firstplacechef Posted May 28, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 28, 2012 We were in Ft. Lauderdale, so closer. Time on boat was about 45 min and 15 min for alligator show. We still got to the airport about an hour before we could check in. Price was cheaper than a rental and hassle of having to drive in that traffic.
