Sky deck 8 rooms

Do the mid-ship rooms on deck 8 of the Sky have a noise problem? It looks like they are located under the casino I think. We have a room on deck 5 already (OJ), but the prices have dropped and it looks like the ones on deck 8 (OF) are now the price we paid, so I was thinking about calling in to see if I could get an "upgrade" but I'm not sure if those really are better rooms or not. I mean, they're mid-ship and all, but if there is going to be a noise problem, perhaps that's why there are still a lot of them available.

The casino is on deck 7. Deck 9 is all cabins. You should be fine.

I was just on the sky on May 18-21 in cabin 8049 I did not hear a thing. We spent some time in the cabin watching movies, it was quiet not a peep. No noise in the morning, no noise at night. I am a very light sleeper any slight noise will wake me up. In fact I booked another room on deck 8 for my next cruise on the Sun.

I'm glad to hear your cabin on 8 was quiet, butterflys. I think I'll go ahead and see if they'll make the switch for me or not.

We were in 8041 in 2009, more above the shops than the casino. Noise was not an issue at all. We could really feel the vibrations of the ship, though, as we were pulling in or out of port.

Dazzles is also on deck 7 midship... speakers would be posted from the ceiling, so noise could be an issue in that area. Be sure of what's underneath you before you book! If you're over the casino, shops, or photo gallery you should be fine, but Dazzles could be a problem!

Yes, this is true I could feel the vibrations even when out to sea. I just imagined it was a massaging bed and drifted off to sleep.... lol

I was in 8220 last year, it was fine!
