Classynfun1 Posted May 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2005 I know this happens when a ship is chartered. However, the cruise I'm meant to be on, for May 29th, is no longer showing up on the website anywhere. My TA isn't in the office, so I thought I'd ask all the knowledgable folks here...thanks! RevNeal Posted May 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2005 It's the Bermuda Triangle of Internet ... it just sucked that cruise right into webspace, from whence it shall never return. ;) Sorry ... I have NO idea what that means ... if it means anything. It might just be a glitch in the system.
palmgirl Posted May 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2005 Usually when all cabins are sold, or reserved, they remove it from the website.

Landlubber54 Posted May 4, 2005 #7 Share Posted May 4, 2005 That's what HAL customer service told me when the same thing happened to my Cruisetour.
jhannah Posted May 4, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 4, 2005 Maybe it's because it's relatively close to sailing date ... but there are other sailings with all cabin categories showing "unavailable" yet they're still listed.
annbanan Posted May 4, 2005 #9 Share Posted May 4, 2005 It's from the magician on the ship. He does that sometimes. That has happened to me before. Even waiting just an hour and trying again, it did appear. Try again another time!
bepsf Posted May 5, 2005 #10 Share Posted May 5, 2005 Uh, Oh... Were you booked on Escalade of the Seas? ...I heard it hit an SUV in Mexico and sank, but all lives were saved by some fellows named Carlos & Charlie and Senor Frog! ;)
Classynfun1 Posted May 5, 2005 Author #11 Share Posted May 5, 2005 You guys are cracking me up! I appreciate each and every answer though! lol
TedC Posted May 5, 2005 #12 Share Posted May 5, 2005 We're booked on two HAL cruises where all categories are marked "closed" but they're both still on the website. My guess for the disappearance of the cruise is a computer glitch, human error, or, possibly, a charter.
1cruiselvr Posted May 5, 2005 #13 Share Posted May 5, 2005 Here's a thought - you could call HAL and ask them. It's a general question so I'm sure they'd answer it, even though you booked thru a TA. It would help relieve your mind, although there is nothing to worry about. Happy Sailing!
Classynfun1 Posted May 6, 2005 Author #14 Share Posted May 6, 2005 I called them and got the, "um, I'm not sure..." answer. LOL! I also asked about doing a B2B and how that would work since it's Europe and everyone else was disembarking. It took 25 minutes on hold off and on, but she found that info for me. She was sweet, so I'll let the missing cruise thing slide. Thanks for the suggestion!
cruzingqueen Posted May 7, 2005 #15 Share Posted May 7, 2005 Classy - what did they say about disembarking in the middle of your b2b? Do you have to get off with everyone else or go through European Immigratioh? Can you go right back on? Just curious in case I do this in the future. ElCruiso Posted May 7, 2005 #16 Share Posted May 7, 2005 :p Take your choice: 1. Ship Full 2. Ship Chartered 3. Shipyard for Repairs or Refurbishing:cool:
