Montreal 29th Sept

Recommended Posts

We will be arriving Sat 29th Sept by ship and wish to stay 4 or 5 nights to "see" Montreal. Would appreciate any suggestions on what to do, mature active couple. Into walking around, eating in reasonable priced good places, not a lot of time in churches but will go to see what should not be missed!

Which area is best for central hotels. Prefer self catering style hotels, small kitchenette comfy seating for evenings as we will be ready for a rest by then. We prefer to eat main meal out at lunch time.

Beeing french, i hope you will understand what i write loll.

Here is a link you might want to look http://www.tourisme-montreal.org/ and dont forget to take a jacket it start to get chilled at night in the end of september. If you have a chance go take a walk on St-Denis street there are very nice place to eat and nice pub. If you want to see a church go to the Basilic of Notre-Dame.

Here is a map of Montreal subway http://www.stm.info/english/metro/a-mapmet.htm If your planning to go south shore of Montreal here is the link http://www.tourisme-monteregie.qc.ca/en/home
