Trying to fly Sin to Siem Reap

Sailing on Milennium in February and would like to do Angkor Wat after the cruise then to Bangkok for 2 days...having a heck of a time getting reasonable air from Sin to Siem Reap.

Since we dock on Sunday only two airlines are decent price, JetStarAsia and Silk Air. Only challenge is that they both only have ONE FLIGHT on Sunday which makes me nervous.

JetStarAsia is at 2:50 which is ok time wise, Silk Air is at 10:40 which might be insane to attempt...

Any ideas out there? Have been burning up the search engines looking for other options...would hate to spend another nite in Singapore (doing 4+ days there pre-cruise)...

If you want a nonstop, you have few choices and you found them. BUT please be aware that the discount Asian airlines have VERY stringent luggage allowances. SilkAir is 23KG for one checked suitcase free but 7kg for carryon (so most 20" rollers are overweight). JetStar requires PAYMENT for 15kg ($60 unless you pay when you book the tickets). Anything over 15kg gets into the astronomical price range unless you book business class.

Just a suggestion-if you have NOT booked your flight home, look into Thai or one of the other international carriers from SIN to BKK, then on to the USA when you return from Siem Reap on ONE ticket. Leave most of your luggage at the hotel you are staying at when you return to BKK. Go to Angkor from BKK via Bangkok Airways. You will generally save money because you are buying a RT ticket from BKK to REP. Those one way Asian tickets can get very expensive.

Was really wondering about the timing...going to/from Bangkok isn't an option...already have flights booked to/from US, just need to do this post cruise excursion.

Am aware of baggage requirements as well, thanks.;)
