Considering Voyages to Antiquity Cruise; Seeking Feedback

Please note: The new, Marina Bay Cruise Terminal's (Singapore) gangway could not accommodate our (Swan Hellenic MV Minerva, 300 pax) ship last week (Jan 2 & 3, 2013). Unsure about other, small ships. We had to use the ship's (uncovered) gangway (depending on tides) & go all sorts of ways through the terminal. Note as well only 3 services in new terminal: Money exchange, small(!!) 7-11 (limited hours), mobile electronics store. New MRT station may open late 2013.public bus runs to port.

Interestingly, on the cruise schedule page of the Marina Bay Cruise Terminal website, the Aegean Odyssey does not show up. Is there another cruise terminal in Singapore? The Berth Facts page says that the Marina Bay Cruise Terminal is built 'to accommodate the largest seafaring cruise liners in service today". Maybe it is not a good fit for small ships.

Hi, CalmSea,

The "old" terminal, SCC, is still open. I'm unsure of its exact location; Google should help. In Dec 2010, I was on Azamara Quest which called at SCC w no issues. Marina Bay's official opening was in Oct 2012.

The 'old cruise terminal' which is very modern is in the 'harbour front area'.

The island of Sentosa is in front and Mount Faber behind. Fairly short distance from the main hotels. We have used this terminal on a number of occasions. There's many shops there and the Singapore metro has a station. The metro is extremely fast and quite cheap.

Kind regards

Tony
