Is Port side Better than Starboard side on an Inside Passage Alaskan Cruise?

We're currently debating if Port side is better than Starboard side for an Inside Passage Alaskan Cruise.

Northbound starboard, southbound port.

That is correct. If it is a round trip then it does not matter what side. Have a great cruise.

On any ship, port is always the left side as you face forward (left and port each have four letters) and starboard is right.

On any ship, the left side facing forward is port (left and port have the same number of letters) and right is starboard.

that depends on whether you are on a northbound or southbound cruise.
