Brilliance of the Seas - cash machines

Recommended Posts

We will be on the Brilliance this month in Europe. Does anyone know if the ship has exchange machines on board. I have heard that some ships have machines that accept U.S. bills and exchange to Euros. Also, do you know what the fee is - is it per bill or by amount exchanged?

Ehogan: We're cruising on the Splendour next week, and also did a similar cruise four years ago on the Legend of the Seas. I'm not sure if things have changed, but on our Legend cruise, they had a teller-type window with a "banker" who offered currency exchange. At that time, euros were not in full effect, so we needed different currencies in each country. I seem to recall that the exchange rate was not as good as some of the "cambios" we found in each port, but it did give us an opportunity for some initial cash/local currency for taxis, etc., then we usually stopped at a bank, cambio or ATM in port for the rest. Hope this helps.
