cabin question celebration

I know it's a bit late to be panicing, now. :confused: Can anyone tell me our cabin is on 1/2, outside, now I am wondering will we be under water, sorry if this is a stupid question.

not unless the ship sinks LOL ,there are no passenger cabins below the waterline, deck one is just above the waterline and you tend to get the bow wave sloshing past the porthole at times when underway

I dont think it is a stupid question!! My husband is fed up reassuring me that we will not be under water. Just glad to hear someone else on here confirming that!!!!;)

We always have an outside cabin the the bowels but they are never below the waterline. Some ships' first decks can be quite low. One on transatlantic trip it was so choppy, it was like watching a rinse on your washing machine.:D In fact so big were the waves that at times the cabin went dark momentarily. :eek:

 

Please don't let that put you off - most of the Thomson fleet are quite high up.

if it gets very rough, they put covers over the porthole to stop water coming in. This of course turns your outside cabin into an inside!

Thanks for this I will get back to packing now, hope I am not too early as I dont want anything creased, usually I stay up all night and finish packing when I call for the taxi to take us to the airport;)
