dos equis Posted June 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2012 One of the perks for Latitudes members is: Member Discount on Spa Signature Services during port days; 15% Silver members, 20% Gold members, 25% Platinum members I'm wondering if anyone has taken advantage of this. I wonder if it can be used in combination with some of the port day specials that are advertised in the Freestyle Daily or if it can only be used on certain full-price services. I'm not really sure what's meant by "signature service." Anyone have any insight? Thanks!
gma_pat Posted June 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2012 We did not get the discount on the spa specials - port or otherwise or the spa passes.
jame_g Posted June 12, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2012 Wasn't able to get this for the spa passes, but didn't get any other services on our last cruise. Doubt they would give it on any specials. Probably available only on regularly priced services.
psmarkle Posted June 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 23, 2013 (edited) Bumping this older thread to see if anyone has current news on using Latitudes Silver/Gold/Platinum discount during port days...going on a Boston to Bermuda cruise w/ 3 days in port, so am curious to see any current advice. Specifically, has anyone successfully used a Latitudes Gold 20% or Platinum 25% discount on top of a Port Day Special discount for a combined total or did they make you choose one or the other?? Second question, could you use it on any spa service or only certain offers? Not sure what they mean by "Signature" treatments...I personally like the hot stone, but DW only likes mani's and pedi's. Thanks in advance! Edited June 23, 2013 by psmarkle
Love my butler Posted June 23, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2013 Port days the spa usually has pretty big discounts. People tend to go ashore so coaxing people to purchase treatments takes some incentives. You cannot use your latitudes discount in conjunction with the port day specials. Thanks in advance! These are the Signature Spa Treatments listed below from my recent Breakaway cruise which are usually the only treatments discounts can be applied to for Port days only. I did not find the daily spa specials on this cruise that great except for the $30 off for the Bliss Triple Oxygen Facial which I tried to book as soon as I saw it but all the booking slots were taken. The spa manager did extend the discount for me to get this facial the following day which was a sea day. Sam The Cat Posted June 24, 2013 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2013 We did not get the discount on the spa specials - port or otherwise or the spa passes. Hi Gram Pat Just wanted to say I am sailing one the Gem but not till March, 2015 unless I can sneak a cruise in 2014 Sam
MagnoliaBlossom Posted June 24, 2013 #8 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Unfortunately, the discount is not good on run of the mill services like swedish, hot stone, etc :(. Nor is it good for spa passes. I suppose the spa is busy enough that they dont need to discount their bread and butter services. Last month the last port day had a 50 minute swedish for $90. We have finally hit Latitudes Platinum which says it gives a 25% discount on Signature Spa services on Port Days. So, is that 25% off these prices above? Has anyone successfully "stacked" port day discounts + their Latitudes discount?

Has anyone successfully "stacked" port day discounts + their Latitudes discount? On my Feb. 2014 Breakaway sailing I was not able to stack my Platinum discount with port day specials. You either book a signature service (as noted above) and get the Platinum discount OR book a port day special rate. Would be nice though if we could combine, lol! psmarkle Posted April 8, 2014 #11 Share Posted April 8, 2014 OK, thanks. So it'll come down to which gives the bigger discount between the Latitudes or the port day special. Appreciate the feedback!

You cannot use your latitudes discount in conjunction with the port day specials. In addition I find treatments are less rushed and we have received extra time gratis on several occasions.
