Here's the promo from earlier this year... I'm guessing it will be similar.

Norwegian Cruise Line has launched a “Freestyle Dash” sale that offers shipboard credit, reduced deposits and air credit on cruises booked by May 25. The shipboard credit is up to $250 per stateroom, while the air credit can be as high as $500 on select sailings to Europe, Alaska and Bermuda.

I never use my Amex card..should I be for more specials?

I saw this tweeted by NCL. I believe they run these promos on occasion. Does anyone know if you can combine this promo with the Amex $500 OBC that Travelocity is running?

The AmEx credit was combinable with a Dash sale back in March, it probably will be again.

For the poster who was asking, the AmEx credit only comes into play if you book a full suite and make all the payments on that room with your AmEx card.

And FYI, it doesn't have to be your AmEx. The $500 credit was too good to pass up, so I charged my friends cruise on my card for them. :)

Looks to me like DASH is reduced deposit plus $300 onboard spending coupons, whatever they might be, plus OBC, but my balcony is only $50.00.

Hmm!

Price is the same before DASH though.

Reduced deposit seems to be the only good thing $125 per person. I think the $300 in ecoupons would be the same fairly useless coupons that have been offered for the past 3 years.

That's why I ask what the coupons generally are... useless coupons! hehe

Love it -- I'd rather like more OBC LOL

:D

Hello! Does anyone know what NCL's policy is for existing booked cruises when sales crop up afterward? I know that the rep at NCL said I can take advantage of future sales, but am unsure if I have to watch for those sales & contact NCL, or if the goodies are granted automatically.

Also, what type of ecoupons do they typically give out? I've heard a few times that they aren't amazing :)

You have to be proactive about price drops and such. In teh past the coupons have been for speciality dining buy two dinners at one restaurant and get one dinner for half price at another. Spa coupons but usually you can get better deals on port days there. The casino coupon used to be pretty good, but I don't know if they changed that.

Last week there was a special "Perk" for Northeast Residents which consisted of Bottle Wine, Choco Strawberries, 3-dinners for 2, $50 Spa Cert & $75 OBC. When I contacted my PCC from NCL he said "no problem", but when he tried to apply it he found out that I wasn't eligible. Nothing had changed in my rate either.

Thanks you guys! Mabones, I had a similar "perks" deal when I booked, although with just a balcony cabin we don't have as much - I think the wine, strawbs, and a dinner for 2 at the Italian.

I've sent a grovelling email to my rep at NCL, and we'll see what he says. I do know when I originally booked, he did say I would be able to take advantage of future sales & price drops... so we'll see how it pans out. (no change in my rates either, with the Dash sale)

He must cringe whenever he sees my name in the "from" field of his emails.. :o

I think my PCC already does. I guess, in order to apply the extra's they have to cancel then re-book with the additional perks. When he went to do that, the system would not accept it. When he check with his Supervisor, he was told it would not apply to me. I already had a $450 OBC. So, when he booked my cruise again, he could only apply $300 OBC then had to add another $100 plus a $50 gift. I was not happy! I felt that I was entitled since my rates have stayed the same, I was told that I would be eligible for anything that came up in the future before final payment!
