Carnival Freedom

Recommended Posts

My husband and i are going to be spending our anniversary the first night on the Freedom as well. I bought a white dress to wear that can either be dressed up with heels or down with sandals. I have read in a couple reviews about getting a bottle of wine if you go to the steak house the first night.

The dress code for the steak house is the same as the main dining room for that day - the first night would be casual. And yes, there is a complimentary bottle of wine for the first night only.

The food is excellent as well as the service. I am sure you will really remember this paticular anniversary dinner. ;)

I am thinking about booking the Steakhouse for our anniversary dinner - which is first night of cruise.

What is the dress code?

Is it good food?

Is it true on first night you get a free bottle of wine?

Thanks,

yes your choice of red or white bottle of wine...red is a merlot (I believe) from Chile (it has been the same for my last 3 cruises). Food has been great - haven't been disappointed yet. Dress for men - nice shirt w tie/dress pants is typical...you will see some suit coats...down to nice golf shirts.

Where can I see my booking?

It said there would be an email - but nothing yet.

Thanks

You won't be able to see the reservation on the CCL web site, you just get the confirmation email that you mentioned. It will come directly from the steak house manager (the email account it comes from will be "Freedom SteakHouse").

If you and your husband want to dress a little more formal you will not feel out of place at all. We like to make it a nice formal event even when you dont have to. The food is amazing!! ENJOY

We were on the freedom 3 weeks ago and went to the steak house the first night. The food and service were outstanding and you do get free wine. I had the steak and lobster and husband had the ribeye. We also went back on the last night. We are sailing on the ship again Oct 28 with 2 other couples and are going to the steakhouse on the first night.

Just got back Sunday from the Freedom. I heard they still did the free bottle of wine on the first night. We went On Wed night. It was amazing. the food was incredible. It was an amazing evening. Great food, the service was fantastic. Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours. But worth it. The cheese cake was huge, so be prepared.
