cruisenow09 Posted June 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2012 Has anyone used the program since the changes were made?
JennCandi Posted June 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2012 We used them June 3 - June 10 on the Star. They still took my 2 year old and just gave me a pager in case she needed her diaper changed. Never got paged (once by accident). My 3 year old loved! The 2 year old only went because her brother wanted to go and her other choice was the crib. If you have any specific questions, let me know. cruisenow09 Posted June 21, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted June 21, 2012 I have a 3 year old as well so I was curious what they do to keep them entertained? Is there anything you wish you knew before the cruise? I have read that they do dress up days and other activities with them so I'm curious what to be prepared for? Rare rxlowry Posted June 21, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2012 We were on the Star on June 10th. My daughter was in the 6-9 program. Lots of the activities are the same but port play is now free. They had a really great list of activities on port days but we found they didn't stick to the schedule. Instead of Bermuda crafts, they watched a movie. If we knew if it was going to be that, she would not have wanted to go. The Mad Scientist, Build a volcano and make your own iCarly episode also were not done. They told our daughter they didn't have a camera. Not sure why they'd put it on he schedule then. The circus activities were fun and she really liked those. They practiced all week for a show on the last sea day. The 2-5s were so cute. I won't spoil what they do. My daughter did the devil sticks, feather balancing and stilts. Very cool! francina Posted June 21, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 21, 2012 I am happy to hear that the port days kids club are now free. I plan on utilizing the kids club a lot this cruise. Also, I only been on NCL once before and noticed that they didn't stick to plan activities for the Adults on the cruise I was on with my mother. That was a disappointment since we were not getting off the ship (the cruise itself was our vacation). But I never heard an announcement they the activity(ies) were cancelled either.
