Has anyone participated in the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism People to People visiting program? This is a free program that matches tourists based on age, occupation, family demographics with local residents for a cultural exchange.

We are looking at doing this program rather than a paid excursion for one of our days in the Bahamas it is available on both Grand Bahama Island and Paradise Island/Nassau.

We signed up for this program & wanted to do it while there last week..but when they contacted us with our selected person, they did not have internet access therefore we could not contact them about details of our tour.. We decided just to cancel & move on to plan B.. The program sounded great & we really wanted to do it..but hard to contact them..
