BKCallaway Posted June 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2012 How many hours of play per day at what amount is needed to get some drink/dinner comps? This will be my first cruise and I like to gamble and wanted to know the system a little. Any responses would be helpful. On the Jewel, do they have poker tournaments? How often? How much? Do they have a holdem cash game on board? buy-in? blinds?

There are some set point levels for certain comps, such as 1500 to earn a free drink card, and you must earn at least 2500 points to be eligible for any credit against your final bill at the end of the cruise. Beyond that, it's very much up to the casino managers. They will track your play, and find you with any offers they want to make. We have always found NCL's casinos staff to be very generous with the freebies. I am not a table poker player, but every NCL ship I've been on has had a cash poker table, with tournaments at various times, depending on interest. Cannot tell you anything about buy-in's or blinds.
