Ryancoke Posted June 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2012 For anyone who has played this: is there a charge? If not is there much of a line up to play? If they don't charge to play do they charge for balls that are lost or otherwise go overboard?
missygirl Posted June 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 25, 2012 No charge...play as many times as you want.
mrpayroll Posted June 25, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2012 We have played when there is hardly anyone playing and have seen it CROWDED. Depends on time of day and what is going on around the pool.
Rottweiler Puppy Posted June 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 25, 2012 Its fun watching the wind blow the ball everywhere but where you wanted it to go.
critcatny Posted June 25, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 25, 2012 We play every cruise and like the others stated...sometimes it's crowded sometimes not. More crowded on sea days obviously. We've never lost a ball so don't know if they charge you but they do hold your card while you play so it's possible if all is not returned a charge could appear on your card...but not really sure. QTPieRye Posted June 25, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 25, 2012 No charge and IMO it would be impossible for a miniature golf ball to go overboard and unless you took a driver to it :)
crusinpsychRN Posted June 25, 2012 #7 Share Posted June 25, 2012 Free. You usually have to go to the Lido to get the club and ball.
Rileyz Posted June 25, 2012 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2012 I have seen a ball go over the side and blow back!!!

Mini golf was free and they didn't hold DH's card, but did ask for our cabin number. It wasn't really crowded when we went and we went on a Sea Day. Here's a pic! Oh, and you know what I just noticed? Looks like there is a mesh-like barrier so your balls won't go anyway. :D
wrigley80 Posted June 25, 2012 #10 Share Posted June 25, 2012 Mini golf is always so much fun to play but it is always so windy up there. When we played mini golf on the Fantasy in March we were near the front of the ship and I noticed Dolphins jumping out of the water. I hollered at my dad to come and look and by the time we got out on the walkway we saw about 20 dolphins jumping in and out of the water right in the front of the ship. That was super cool to see

lemansz20 Posted June 26, 2012 #12 Share Posted June 26, 2012 Ive only played on Royal Caribbean, but free also. Its kind of cool to be that high up there, and play, but the wind wasnt to crazy the way royal had it on the navigator.
tea4ular Posted June 26, 2012 #13 Share Posted June 26, 2012 My D & I like to play while the ship's in port. Little to no wind, and hardly anyone around. Same for ping pong.

CheckersMidwest Posted June 26, 2012 #16 Share Posted June 26, 2012 On the Paradise, they swipe your sign & sail card when you check out clubs, balls, ping pong paddles, etc. If they are not returned, they charge your account. The "walls" around our mini golf was glass.
CRUZBUDS Posted June 26, 2012 #17 Share Posted June 26, 2012 My D & I like to play while the ship's in port. Little to no wind, and hardly anyone around. Same for ping pong. Too hot then! ;)
near the beach Posted June 26, 2012 #18 Share Posted June 26, 2012 On every ship except one we gave our cabin number at the towel stand on the lido deck and received clubs and balls. When we returned them they marked it off of the list. On the dream there were buckets of clubs for you to pick from. You did not check out anything. However there were very few balls. We had to wait for others to finish to get golf balls for us to use. When you play you start anywhere someone is not playing. There are no score cards. Just putting fun. There is sometimes a tournament while the ship is in a port.
