Formal Night On Majesty

Could someone remind me what nights is the formal night for a Majesty 4 day cruise? Is it the third night when we're at CocoCay?

Do you mean the 4 night or the 3 night?

The 2nd night is generally always formal night :)

For the 4-night cruise it used to be the 2nd night, Nassau, but I've read recently it was moved to the 3rd night, Coco Cay. It was recently noted in a review on this board.

I was surprised to see know it was moved as we were expecting it to be on the second night as well. We were on the Majesty in June 2011 and it was the second night.

We were on the Majesty 4-night May 28, and formal night was on the 3rd day- CocoCay.

I think it makes sense to have the formal night on CocoCay day as it gives everyone a chance to get ready on our "off" day.

 

On the other hand, maybe people wouldn't like it because they just want that day to relax and not worry about dressing up...

 

No worries. Either way, I'll be in the dining room in my bathing suit.

It kind of makes sense moving the formal night off the Nassau day since we're in port until midnight. We noticed quite a few people last year who came back to the ship later in the evening after partying in town. Having the midnight buffet on the Nassau night would also allow people to party on deck during the sail away.

The midnight buffet was still on Nassau night. It worked out much better with formal night after CocoCay.
