Tea & Coffee Making Facilities on Equinox

No.

There is no facility or way to make coffee or tea in your cabin.

However your cruise fare includes room service at no-extra charge which is available around the clock. Sometimes this is very quick for just coffee or tea and sometimes not.

We find it more expedient to run up to the buffet and make our own and bring it down to the cabin. We typically bring our own instant coffee (Starbucks Via) which we prefer over the ship's coffee and our own brand of organic tea bags. There are beverage stations in the buffet open 24 hours which have hot water which seems sufficiently hot to me although I know some prefer water at a full boil. There are nice quality, good sized, take away hot cups in the buffet in the morning and sometimes later in the day - but if you don't see any just ask one of the staff and they'll get some for you.

We used to bring a coffee press for our own coffee but it was too much of a hassle to clean in the stateroom and the Starbucks Via instant coffee is good enough and much better than the ships coffee. If this is your first cruise do try the ship's coffee as some find it just fine while others, such as us, find it sorely lacking. As for tea bags - the ship has a decent variety of very basic quality teas at the buffet beverage stations, room service, and all dining areas at no extra charge.

Premium organic teas and espresso based coffee is available at Cafe al Bacio and can be had in take-away cups to bring back to your stateroom or to enjoy elsewhere on the ship.

When Celebrity ships depart from Southampton there is a kettle in the stateroom. But not from any other departure port, so no, there will not be a kettlenin your stateroom. Kettles and coffee makers are forbidden and may be confiscated.

Is there a hospitality tray in your cabin and if not are you allowed to bring a travel kettle on board

Thanks

Welcome to Cruise Critic! I am sorry that you are not allowed to bring a travel kettle on board (they are considered a fire hazard, I believe). If you like, take a look at the list below (taken directly from the Celebrity site) and this will list the "forbidden" items that are not allowed on board. You may, however, order hot water from room service for tea, or order coffee, or both are available in the dining room, in the buffet area and, for a fee, in Cafe Al Bacio.

Ask away if you have any other questions and have a wonderful cruise.
