Rome restaurant recommendations

Anyone have some moderate price restaurant recommendations for Rome? We will be staying for 3 nights following our cruise and are looking for some nice, good but inexpensive places to eat. Since we will be celebrating not only our arrival to the "empty nest" club, but our 5th anniversary, one night in a nice romantic location would be ideal too.

Rome is huge - where is your hotel? And what time of year?

 

One of my favorite romantic spots is the rooftop restaurant and lounge at the Grande Hotel de la Minerva at Piazza della Rotunda. No matter where we stay in Rome, we always head there at least once and enjoy the gorgeous views, especially at sunset. They often have a piano player and the food is quite good, though not inexpensive.

There are a lot of suggestions here on this board as this gets asked a lot. I would suggest the rooftop at the Hotel Forum...just the setting is woth it,but it will cost.
