Creepella Posted July 5, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2012 Does the deposit get added to your shipboard account, or do you pay for it separately? If you are Canadian, can you pay in CDN$? If you already have your next cruise booked, but it is well before final payment, can you get that transferred as your onboard booking? Or do you just need to suck it up and plan a second future cruise. :D Thanks!
SuchAVirgo Posted July 5, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2012 Both times we have done this it wasnt applied to our ship account. We had to pay with a CC.

Creepella Posted July 5, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted July 5, 2012 Thanks. So, does that mean when you booked, you had to book in US$? Edited to add: Sounds like I will have to suck it up and plan another cruise.
KAWS Posted July 5, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 5, 2012 It's a separate charge and you can have it in American or Canadian currency. If you booked the cruise that you are presently on through a TA, the booking will automatically go to them UNLESS you tell them that you don't want it to. Same thing for a next cruise open booking. I always just take it without it going to the TA just in case by the time I use it, she's somewhere else. I want to be able to stay with her, not necessarily with the company she's presently with. As for applying it to a cruise you have booked already, no can do. You can put it on that cruise, then go back and cancel your original booking. Once you've cancelled, you can then request to transfer to the original cabin (if you specifically want that). Once you've made your decision, be it next cruise open booking or an actual cruise, they will put a confirmation in your mailslot outside your room in an envelope the next day or two. So do it before the last day so that you get this before you leave.
