Ceremony at embark port

We are considering doing this as some in the family wont be able to attend cruise. Has anyone done this? In our case it will be Port Canaveral.

 

It just seems to me that everything could get complicated and rushed.

That is where all the ships do weddings the Princess cruise lines do the wedding at sea. We are getting married in Port Cannaveral.. they board early and plan on a certain time before sailing.

How early before departure can they do it?

You and your guest, sailing and non sailing board at 11am. Your guests should all be dress already for the wedding. Your wedding cordinator will escort you and your guests to where you will meet for the ceremony and at what time and then she will take you to your room to get dress while the guest will get to tour the ship. The ceremony usually start at 1pm and its about 15 minutes long and the reception start right after.:D

We were married on the Glory in Port Canaveral. We were done the ceremony, luncheon, pictures, and changed in to our comfies by the 4:00 sailing time. We were the first of three weddings that day.
