Brilliance 7172 or 1102?

Which would you pick? The corner aft on deck 7 (7172) or a Deck 10 aft (1102)? It is for New England/Canada going south. Anyone stayed in both?

I can tell you the balcony on 1102 is much bigger. Besides that, it just depends on which deck you would prefer to be on.

 

You may think that 7172 being "corner" will give more view, but it doesn't because your port side is blocked. You only see aft.

I would vote for 1102. 7172 is the smallest of the corner afts and there is a nightclub under it. (It's not a particulary late night venue, but things can go on down there until midnight or so.)

I have had both of these rooms. 1102 has a deeper balcony while 7172 has a much wider balcony. People can look down onto 1102 from the Windjammer but only if they stand up at the rail and look over. even then they can see only about 1/4 of the balcony (closest to the rail). 7172 is right above the nightclub and we could hear music every night until approximately midnight.

 

I would choose 1102 over 7172 unless it is for Alaska as 7172 can accomodate far more people at the rail.
