Casino, some bars, one side (I believe port) of the lido deck as well as one of the outdoor "wings" aft of the buffet area. Keep in mind that smoking in cabins is not allowed anymore.

 

And watch out for the signage. Unfortunately, some areas are not as clearly marked as they should be and you can be in a "smoking" area one second, but then you walk 2 feet and you are all of a sudden in a "non smoking" area. Very frustrating for both smokers and non smokers. We spent our entire cruise dodging smokers in non smoking areas, and inadvertently walking into smoking areas several times.

Tapi is a non smoker and I am a smoker, and love the Fascination. You can smoke on the starbooard side of the ship outside on the Lido deck. You cannot smoke in the restaurant up there, but there are tables set up on the back of the ship, and my DH and I spent many a lovely evening out there with our coffee and smokes. If you have a balcony, you can smoke out on the balcony. You can smoke in certain sections of the casino, but you have to be playing at a game, not just walking through. Carnival makes smokers pay to smoke,* or you can get an e cig, (in public you must only use these in the same area as the smoking area) but no one will know if you vape in your cabin. No smell. Just steam.:eek:

If you are a smoker, now you know. If you are a non smoker, you now know the areas to avoid.

*_Pay for a balcony and you can smoke, Balconies cost more.
