Are the only AD mini-suites on Emerald Princess on the Emerald deck? If I guarantee an AD mini-suite, will it be one of the ones on the back of Emerald deck?

The AD's are highly coveted as they are fully covered and very convenient to Deck 7.

 

With an AD GTY, you will most likely be "upgraded" to an AC or AB on dolphin deck. An upgrade to an AA is possible, but to a full suite is most unlikely.

 

AC or AB is probably your best bet, but those are uncovered balconies. If during this process an AD does become available and you are assigned to it, I would recommend marking it a "no upgrade" with your TA and lock the cabin in if you like covered balconies.

 

If you want an uncovered balcony, then stick with the GTY and you will most likely end up on Dolphin.

You can GTY an AD mini-suite but chances are slim that you would get one as they are highly-prized and often, the first mini's booked. People with AD's frequently have them marked "Do not upgrade" as they don't consider an AC or even an AA an upgrade. They are covered and private whereas the AA-AC mini's are uncovered and open to all above.

Yes they are only on Emerald deck and as stated no it is highly unlikely that you will end up on Emerald deck with an AD GTY.

If you can get a specific AD mini on Emerald grab it and mark the booking no upgrade. :)

You definitely should if you want a covered balcony. Be sure and have your cabin marked no upgrade as well.

Rather than "no upgrade" I would suggest the option that only allows an upgrade to a higher cabin type. That would allow the slim potential of an UPGRADE to a suite but not an "upgrade" to a Dolphin deck AC, AB or AA mini.

I must be the rare exception - we booked at AD guarantee on the Golden, and got just that. I didn't realize at the time how lucky we were. :D
