Lockup Posted December 18, 2012 #101 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Just an FYI I called about this today and was told for our cruise in Feb the price is now $89 a person.
Katemusical Posted December 18, 2012 #102 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Do you know if they do this dinner on the Pride of America? It seems that POA does everything different from the other ships.
rvsullivan Posted December 19, 2012 #103 Share Posted December 19, 2012 Chef's Table is on every NCL ship. Recently the price went up to $89 per person. On the Star it is on Thursday night and was sold out by the time we boarded. Only 12 seats, so if the poster that asked about their daughter wants to take her, they will have to pay the $89 for her. We had a wait list for ours and of course no one was a no show, since you reserve. Suites are allowed to put in a request in advance with the pre concierge, it is not a reservation, but a request to reserve when the list opens up on boarding. We did not do that and they got us the last two seats while boarding was starting. When they say unlimited wine, they aren't kidding. There was a lot of it and it was very good, two whites and one red.
tweetylori Posted December 19, 2012 #104 Share Posted December 19, 2012 LOVE your pics and your review...thank you! It's funny how some folks think it looks like a small amount of food...I was thinking the whole time, who the heck can eat all that??? :D I'd sure like to give it a try one of these days, though. NYGirl1002 Posted December 19, 2012 #105 Share Posted December 19, 2012 The Jewel ended up having it for 2 nights when I was on her in November. Both nights were at capacity. They did it Wed and Thurs. It was so delicious!
rvsullivan Posted December 19, 2012 #106 Share Posted December 19, 2012 They did tell us last week that if the demand was there they would put on a second dinner. Needed at least 8 people on the standby list to do it. We ended up with one on standby, no second dinner.
shelly11 Posted December 19, 2012 #107 Share Posted December 19, 2012 Love this OP review! As a southern girl getting fresh honeycombs to eat is a wonderful treat. The best jars of honey have the honeycomb in them. Thanks for a great memory.
vent1020 Posted November 20, 2014 #108 Share Posted November 20, 2014 I know this thread is several years old, but for someone that plans on doing the Chef's Table and for anyone wanting to try it, I think it is a thread worth reviving. PROPS to the OP for the great job with the pics and explanation of the dishes. Bravo :)
