  1. Loving your report and pics, thank you! May I ask why the radio name? Do you work in Radio?
  2. Yes this is sold out. Don't believe Food Network is actually sponsoring it though. Certainly a lot of Food Network chefs are part of it. It's a Sixthman cruise. This is the inaugural foodie one for them. They do lots of themed cruises with NCL. Earlier this year we did their Broadway one and it was terrific.
  3. Hopefully you checked you checked your luggage to make sure you didn't bring them home with you?
  4. We just had a wonderful week on the Solstice on the Sept 2 Alaska sailing. We have never had better service by a more positive team on any cruise we've been on. Entertainment performers were all very talented. As for the wear on the ship, the only places we noticed it were in the two theaters. Both had seats that you wouldn't want to sit it (broken, or just super worn). But it was no big deal. Just move to a different seat.
  5. Just off today from a stellar cruise. Most amazing crew ever! Our regular veranda on deck 7 was fine. The places that seemed most worn out were the theaters. Celebrity central seats were particularly run down. Just had to be careful where you sat. None of that mattered to us or put any kind of damper on our treasured time on this beautiful ship.
  6. You must be well off the ship at this point. Hope you are ok. Would love to hear about the rest of your adventure
  7. OK I'll be the one to ask. You ok? Internet issues? Or just enjoying every moment? Hopefully the enjoying part. Looking forward to you catching us up when you can!
  8. Happy Ketchikan day! Looks like you're going to have beautiful weather for it.
  9. Last time i has the crab cakes I totally agreed. Plus mixed veggies with a crab cake is just wrong IMHO. Appreciate you showing me it hasn't changed
  10. Thank you for showing the slight deal for upgrading to premium drink package!
  11. I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed in you for no food pics from Lowell's. Your Husband looks great and all, but I would've loved to see some messy seafood, just sayin. You did redeem yourself nicely with the breakfast pics though.
  12. I am LOVING this report and pics! Thank you! Have a GREAT time!
  13. Well I love any and all pics, especially the food ones, thanks! Enjoyed your review as well!
  14. Your line about the midnight buffet cracks me up! I remember the first cruise I ever went on (so long ago that it was the Carnival's Carnivale)...couldn't wait to try the midnight buffet, managed to stay awake for it and it was mostly cold cuts. Yep, I had stayed up for bologna LOL.
  15. Enjoy every minute because it'll go by way faster than you think! We did a fourteen-night one from Rome to Ft Lauderdale on the Silhouette a few years ago and all our port stops were in the first week. Then we had 7 blissful days at sea where all we had to do was decide what speaker we wanted to hear, where we wanted to dine next, which game in the casino to play, etc. We took full advantage of everything the ship had to offer and were never bored. I brought several books and didn't even finish one because just gazing at the ocean was something I sure couldn't do at home. It was so cool a lot of the nights to have them tell us to set our clocks back an hour...yay we gained more time on this beautiful ship! I can honestly say I have never been so relaxed and rested in my life as I was when we got home. My biggest tip is to make sure your cabin mate is a perfect travel companion, cause it might be too long if you don't travel well together. We are fortunate to be perfect travel partners. We did most things together, but would sometimes go to different lectures or classes. We both loved it!
  16. Thank you for your review. Very helpful!
  17. Good to know thanks! I think I would like it a lot better at half the price. Lunch would be perfect. Maybe we will get lucky also.
  18. Yep that's about all I found about it also, thanks.
  19. Thank you, I appreciate the info!
  20. Thank you! I appreciate your input!
  21. I did a search and don't see much discussion about the pros and cons of le Petit Chef. Is it worth the hefty price? Looks like a very limited menu. Is it worth it if a person doesn't do steak? I'm not seeing a discount for the first night unlike the other specialty dining restaurants. Do they ever discount it other than buying a multi-restaurant package? Would love overall opinions/tips please!
  22. Love your review and tips...much appreciated, thank you!
