Destiny Dress Code

I have looked at the faq but still not sure what to take for my first cruise. It will be on the carnival destiny.

 

For casual dinning are kahki or black shorts with a polo acceptable? Can the style of the shorts be a cargo short with lots of pocket or do they need to be a pressed more formal type?

 

Is there a formal night on the Destiny? Is a tie or jacket required.

for casual dining.. really anything is fine.. just dont show up in a stained shirt w holes in it missing a sleeve..

 

even for the "formal" night people dont get dressy.. khakis n a polo work for formal night however get as dolled up as you please! its funner that way.
