Palazzo Quirinale--CLOSED

Forgot who suggested it for a Sunday, but when we went, it was CLOSED. They were set to re-open (so they say), in September...They guards were very nice, and played along with me when I told them that I was here NOW, and not in September....Wasn't that much of a total loss, as we found a church that I had wanted to enter a few hundred yards away...

Yes, it closes every summer. This year it is closed from June 24th through September 9th.

It's a great place to visit when it's open, especially if you follow up the tour with a concert in the Paolina chapel.
