Picking a Carnival voyage.

I haven't sailed Carnival but own some shares, would like to try out the 4 major lines to make comparisons and use the OBC benefit. I'm leaning towards Legend next fall. Because the itinerary includes Mayan ruin opportunties, plus Cayman Is, Tampa is a reputed easy port to access, the ship is of moderate size and has most of the amenities that would interest us. Downsides include the pics of the decor I've seen don't look too inviting and more before/after cruise activities could exist in a port like Miami.

So here's where you come in: Is that a good choice for my stated requirements? Are there other ones I should consider that, on balance, could serve me better?

If you aren't looking for all the bells and whistles of the newer larger ships, the Legend is a great choice. We've sailed her on the western itin 3 times and had a great cruise each time. She is not overwhelmingly large and is easy to navigate...she gets my vote!:)
