Carnival Tropicale

Recommended Posts

We sailed on her in 2000, one of her last years in service. She was definitely showing her age then. Now I see that Carnival no longer has Tropicale in the fleet. Any ideas where she ended up? Enjoying life as a gambling junket? Or maybe some less attractive use?

She is the Costa Tropicale and later this year she will be moving to P&O and renamed Pacific Star.

Wow! Have they done any updating on her?

Lots - her interiors have practically been gutted, and she got a new funnel, among other things.

Personally, I think she looks very nice. There's a great virtual tour on Costa's web site that will give you a good idea of what she looks like today.

COULD SOMEONE POST THE LINK FOR THE PICS OF THE TROPICALE NOW THAT ITS BEEN REDONE.

See this page from Costa's site. You can choose 360-degree views from the drop-down menu on the left or by clicking on the various red dots on each deck in the deck plan (roll over a deck on the diagram of the ship, and click to see deck plan).
