hattack Posted July 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Kid Rock fans can party on his 4th annual full charter March 6-10th on the NCL Pearl. It will probably sell out within 72 hours of being open for sale later this month with his loyal fan base From a business perspective, Kid Rock is a genius IMHO...He charters the Pearl for 6 days and on his embarcation day, (Tuesday), turns it into a pre-party, charges extra for it (in essence captures the revenue that would normally go towards pre cruise hotel, meals etc), and goes 4 miles out with about 90% of his guests at 9 pm....Comes back to Miami the next day to pick up the balance of his guests, departs at 4 pm to Great Stirrup Cay (renamed Redneck Paradise) for 2 days/nights of partying and music, does a full day at sea and returns on Sunday. He also owns his own brewery, so I'm sure he sells lots of his own beer. His fan base demographics presents an opportunity to attract a much younger crowd to cruising that normally would not even think about it, plus they pay a premium for the opportunity to party with Kid Rock. Cruise lines have pursued more full charter music cruises of all types (rock, alternative, jazz, blues, oldies, soul etc.) both as a revenue cash cow and a way of attracting new guests that hopefully will return to cruise on a regular sailing. The cruising paradyms are changing...it's not your parent's Love Boat anymore..lol
