mkmom514 Posted July 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2012 Just wondering...I have a Royal Caribbean Visa card that supposedly gave me 10,000 points when I signed up. This can be used for $100 OBC. Has anyone ever done this and how do I get the OBC?

mkmom514 Posted July 20, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted July 20, 2012 Thanks. I guess my points aren't available yet. It's a relatively new card.
Clarea Posted July 20, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2012 Thanks. I guess my points aren't available yet. It's a relatively new card. You have to make at least one charge. The points should show up the 1st or 2nd bill after the charge.
SailingJewel Posted July 20, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2012 Don't be surprised if you don't see the 10,000 points right away. I just got it two months ago, and 5,000 points showed up after my first charge and I called, worried that something didn't go right. The other 5,000 showed up after the first billing cycle closed. :D I haven't redeemed anything yet - just racking them up before October!
megfla Posted July 20, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2012 They have made it very easy to redeem your points. You do it right online, I just redeemed 35,000 points and it was applied to my reservation within 3 days. Keep in mind that the OBC is great, but that represents just a 1% benefit. If you can wait an accumulate 25,000 points you start getting into more significant benefits such as a free companion fare on a 4 night cruise, etc...
