Just realized I've been on the Jade before!

I didn't know it was the Pride of Hawaii! I don't even remember what year it was, but I remember thinking the ship's food was the worst I'd ever had. Ate on island as much as possible. And the all-American crew was... different to say the least.

 

Being on the Islands was a dream come true, but we joke that the transportation was awful! Sure hope things are different with this itinerary. I just can't believe I'm on the same ship twice!

Ah, just saw that my POH cruise was 2006. Hopefully that's been enough time for improvements. :)

I think you will find the Jade to be more like her sisters - the Jewel, Pearl, and Gem - international crews and better food. I was on the POA in 2006 which was the very first year of the NCL America program and they were having a huge problem with crew members jumping ship mid cruise etc. I think that the only thing left of the POH on the Jade is some of the decor.

We did the PoA cruise in January and had a wonderful time. In a some ways, we enjoyed the ship more than the islands....:)
