mamakinrocks Posted July 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2012 Has anyone done this tour? If so, just wandering your thoughts....physical demand, scenery, interest, etc. We are most concerned about older teens enjoying it. Also considering the Stand Up Paddleboarding or the Trail Bike and Beach Tour. Thanks!
PDAA Posted July 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2012 We just did the stand-up paddle boarding last week when we were there. Our guide/instructor Neil at Fantasea was great! We were a group of 7, me/husband, & 5 "kids" ages 16-23. All but 2 of us were beginners and it we found it to be much easier than expected. The boards are very stable, not what you usually see, definetly geared toward beginners. We met at the Dockyard where Neil & crew took us by boat to a private beach (about 1/2 hr ride) while giving us some Bermuda history along the way and visiting a ship wreck. After a brief instruction, we paddled around an enclosed inlet and made 2 stops/rests along the "tour" at small beach areas, the actual paddleboarding time was probably about an hour to an hour & 1/2 and we then had time for a quick swim and some pics before heading back. Very scenic trip. This was a good family/group trip that we were all happy with! I would highly recommend.

Rare 3rdGenCunarder Posted July 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2012 I haven't done this tour, but I've done eco-tour sea kayaking in St Thomas, and loved it. It's pretty easy if they use the "self-bailing" kayaks.
