Amsterdam - HOHO Canal Boat

Does anyone know if you can pay on the boat for the canal hoho boat or do I need to purchase a ticket in advance? Can't find the answer on their website.

As far as I know there are a few spots where you can pay, but I am not sure if it can be done on the boat.

Known places for this are a.o. in their office opposite centraal Station, near Rijksmuseum and Leidseplein.

If you buy on-line you get 10% discount.

Last year we took the train from Rotterdam to Amsterdam and the canal tour "Hop On Hop Off" was a few steps away from the train station so we jumped on that to begin our sight-seeing. We did not purchase tickets ahead of time.

Thanks to all but I wanted to jump on a few stops after the one by the train station so I wondered if I could pay on the boat instead of having to buy a ticket first....
