Rare TracieABD Posted July 29, 2012 #26 Share Posted July 29, 2012 I found the "lost phone" romance of the pop segment kinda stupid, but a lot of the music selection was outstanding, not just a bunch of obvious warhorses. I'd much rather hear Millie Small sing "My Boy Lollipop" than Sir Elton singing "Candle in the Whatever" for the zillionth time, but that's me. I also adored how the taped intro to the ceremonies incorporated the Sex Pistols' "God Save the Queen" and, unless my old ears failed me, The Clash's "London's Burning." Cheeky! Hear that, Princess? Replace "Piano Man" with a show saluting the Clash, the Pistols, and the Buzzcocks. "Punk Man." Now that I'd line up for.... Not to mention the Smiths, Dead Kennedys, Joy Division, and Killing Joke and Depesche Mode... Though I am nt sure how well that will go over for some, I would like it! Line dance class = "Follow the Leaders" Dealing with Stewart = "(Let's Play) Master and Servant" And for the Asian cruises, the ever-popular "Holiday in Cambodia"

Cruisin' Chick Posted July 30, 2012 #29 Share Posted July 30, 2012 Just as long as they don't play any song by One Direction (I think that's the name of the group). Even my teen rolls her eyes whenever they're on some show such as Saturday Night Live.
Level six Posted July 30, 2012 #30 Share Posted July 30, 2012 I just got off the star and thought this show was the best one. Singers, dancers, production was well done. I mean, for a cruise ship show, I found it enjoyable.
