rvsullivan Posted July 28, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2012 Since your staying in the U.S. why would it be a problem? You should be fine.
CaveDiving Posted July 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2012 :)As anyone used the AT&T mobile hotspot, using an Apple Iphone on the ship, in PORT. We are going to Hawaii in November. :) I have used both the Mifi and the iPhone hotspots with Verizon in Hawaii and Ft Lauderdale (in between B2B cruises) and they both have worked just fine. I usually do it from the Lido deck if the dome is open or another lower outside deck if it's not. The ships often turn off their telephone satellites while in port. It's probably worth checking with the ship's Wifi expert to verify that your call will not be intercepted by the ship. If that is a problem, then you'll need to take your iPhone (possibly and your computer) into the terminal to get clear recepton. The system works well in all US ports. It may also work in some foreign ports, but you'll probably be charged roaming fees. Scott & Karen
Underwatr Posted July 28, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2012 It was a Virgin Mobile device, but no problem in any Hawaiian port even when at anchor a half mile or so out.
