Has anyone done the Dolphin swim and Beach Day thur Carnival in Roatan? My sister-in-law wants to badly do this and we are trying to find the best one to do at the best price. Carnival wants $135.

Are their any private groups out there or should she just go thur the ship excursion?

We were in the same situation. We could not book at AKR, only through NCL. Luckily our ship also docks in Cozumel. We got a dolphin encounter with myself and my daughter, and she was free.

A few years ago we did the doulphin encounter. It was awsome. We didn't get to swim with the dolphins but were able to interact. My girl still talks about DEEDEE and is hoping to be a bio-chemical engineer, specialising in marine biology. I think that DEEDEE must have told my daughter something, but I think it's great! The next animal my girl has her heart on is time with a WHALE SHARK- She says the are big plant eaters:eek: I'll take here word for it. I would get together with the dalphins anyday-but a Whaleshark?

Whalesharks are just like the name implies. Like the Humpbacks, eat plankton and have no teeth. Not to be confused with hammerheads or Great Whites. They are larger than both of those. Hence the Whale name.

Hope that clears up the confusion.

The Dolphin experience on Roatan can only be booked through the cruiseship excursion's people. This rule applies whenever a cruiseship is in port.

IT is done this way, so everyone pays the same price. IF you contact AKR, they will tell you to contact your cruiseline.

On days, where there is NO ship in port, then AKR takes reservations.
